An essential part of the life of your candle is trimming the wick.
Our polished stainless steel wick trimmers are the perfect partner to use along side your candles to keep them burning at their best.
Using your wick trimmer:
- Before lighting your candle for the first time, trim your wick to 1/4 inch.
- Before each burn, make sure your candle has completely cool before trimming your wick to 1/4 inch.
- Discard your trimmed portion and throw in the trash.
- Never leave wick trimmings, matches or any debris in your candle jar.
- You are now ready to light your candle.
Trimming your candle wick will help prevent soot, smoking and overheating and extend the life of your candle. Do not drop matches or other flammable items into the candle.
Your candle should not be burnt for longer than 3 hours at a time and never burn when there is less than 1/4" of wax left in the vessel.
When you have finished with your candle, the glass vessel can be reused and the silver lid maybe used as a coster.
Keep candles away from curtains or anything around the candle that could ignite. Do not burn candles in a draft and protect surfaces that the candle sits on from heat.
Always keep candles in sight when in use and keep away from children and pets.
Never move a burning candle. Allow the candle to cool and wax to solidify before moving. The candle, container and/or wax can become extremely hot when in use.
If the candle wick develops a 'mushroom-like' tip, extinguish the candle, allow to completely cool and remove the tip by using our Alchemy Store wick trimmer. This will ensure your candle burns evenly.
Economy Shipping AND Free Shipping:
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 2-3 business days. If you do not receive a shipping confirmation email within 5 days of placing your order, you can contact us at email@example.com for a status update.
Processing times and do not account for the time the package is in transit. Priority Mail is typically delivered within 1-3 business days. UPS Ground usually takes 1-5 business days. You will receive a shipping notification with tracking information once your order leaves our studio.
If you select expedited shipping during check-out this will not affect processing time, but will speed up delivery. Please note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use.
We send most international packages via UPS.
International packages may be subject to customs fees, duties, and taxes which are not included in our shipping rates and are the customer's responsibility to cover.
At checkout you will see the total landed cost which excluded any possible taxes and fees. The customer is responsible for paying any and all customs duties and fees. International packages may be delayed by customs. Unfortunately, The Alchemy Store does not have any control over these circumstances.

REFUNDS & EXCHANGES
At The Alchemy Store, all of our products are carefully inspected before they are shipped. Due to the nature of our products, used candles and Aura Sprays cannot be returned or refunded. However, we will replace or refund products damaged during shipment if photographic proof of damage is submitted to The Alchemy Store within 7 days of delivery. Please email us at email@example.com
If you have received the wrong product or are missing a product in your order, please let us know within 10 days of your order being delivered.
You may return your unused products for a full refund of your purchase price, less shipping and handling within 14 days of delivery. The customer is responsible for paying return shipping charges. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
Due to restrictions caused by coronavirus, we cannot currently accept exchanges. Thank you for your understanding.
We reserve the right to reject any returns/exchanges that do not comply with the conditions stated above. If your package is not accepted, it will be sent back to you at your expense and a refund will not be granted. Items that appear used or worn upon inspection are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.
Internationally Place Orders:
We are currently unable to offer exchanges on international orders. If you’d like to return your order for a refund, please note shipping costs for international returns are the customer’s responsibility.
