Candle Care

Before burning your candle for the first time, trim the candle wick to 1/4" and always trim to 1/4" before each lighting of the candle. The initial burn of your candle should be long enough for the top layer of wax to completely melt. This will enable you to have a nice even burn with each light of your candle.

Trimming your candle wick will help prevent soot, smoking and overheating and extend the life of your candle. Do not drop matches or other flammable items into the candle.

Your candle should not be burnt for longer than 3 hours at a time and never burn when there is less than 1/4" of wax left in the vessel.

When you have finished with your candle, the glass vessel can be reused and the silver lid maybe used as a coster.

Keep candles away from curtains or anything around the candle that could ignite. Do not burn candles in a draft and protect surfaces that the candle sits on from heat.

Always keep candles in sight when in use and keep away from children and pets.
Never move a burning candle. Allow the candle to cool and wax to solidify before moving. The candle, container and/or wax can become extremely hot when in use.

If the candle wick develops a 'mushroom-like' tip, extinguish the candle, allow to completely cool and remove the tip by using our Alchemy Store wick trimmer. This will ensure your candle burns evenly.
